Job summary

BrentCare Behavioral Health in Apache Junction, AZ, seeks an Adolescent Therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy as part of a residential program. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain records, while coordinating care and managing crises.

The role requires AZ licensure, a relevant master's degree, and at least one year of related experience. Teletherapy may be used when appropriate, with full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Arizona licensure in good standing with AZBBHE.
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
• At least one year of counseling and case management experience with mental health/substance abuse.
• Proficient with word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and diversity awareness.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications, side effects, and adverse reactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services: individual, family, and group therapy.
• Conduct assessments to build treatment plans.
• Maintain client records and required paperwork (progress notes, notifications, discharge plans).
• Coordinate care and crisis management.
• Communicate with the treatment team and uphold a safe environment.
• Deliver services via teletherapy when appropriate.
• Maintain confidentiality of all client data (HIPAA).

Adolescent Therapist Qualifications

• Current mental health licensure in Arizona with the AZBBHE. (required)
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field. (required)
• One year of experience in counseling and case management with mental health and substance abuse clients. (required)
• Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, including word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrated competence with cultural differences and diversity.
• Knowledge of medications commonly prescribed for mental health disorders, common side effects, and adverse reactions.

Adolescent Therapist Expectations

• Provide direct support services, including individual, family therapy and group therapy.
• Conduct assessments or screenings to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain client records and complete all required paperwork, including progress notes, event notifications, and discharge plans.
• Facilitate coordination of care and crisis management.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment.
• Provide services via teletherapy when determined appropriate for clients.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards, including the confidentiality of all client data (HIPAA).

SCHEDULE

• Sunday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm
• Required on call rotation once every 5 weeks

Pay: $70,000.00
