Job summary

Avery's House in Apache Junction, AZ is seeking an Adolescent Therapist to support our residential program and help teens achieve wellness. You will provide direct services including individual, family and group therapy, and participate in assessments to inform treatment plans.

This full-time, in-person role requires AZ licensure (AZBBHE), a master's degree in counseling or related field, and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Arizona licensure (AZBBHE) required.
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field required.
• One year of experience in counseling and case management with mental health and substance abuse clients required.
• Proficiency with PC software (word processing, video conferencing, email, spreadsheets).
• Demonstrated competence with cultural differences and diversity.
• Knowledge of medications commonly prescribed for mental health disorders, side effects, and adverse reactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support services, including individual, family therapy and group therapy.
• Conduct assessments or screenings to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Maintain client records and complete all required paperwork, including progress notes, event notifications, and discharge plans.
• Facilitate coordination of care and crisis management.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team and maintain a safe and efficient treatment environment.
• Provide services via teletherapy when determined appropriate for clients.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards, including the confidentiality of all client data (HIPAA).

Adolescent Therapist Qualifications

• Current mental health licensure in Arizona with the AZBBHE. (required)
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field. (required)

• Knowledge of software programs for personal computer use, including word processing, video conferencing, email, and spreadsheets.

SCHEDULE

• Sunday to Thursday, 9am - 5pm
• Required on call rotation once every 5 weeks

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00
