Job summary

Meridell Achievement Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care for youth on a secure, therapeutic milieu. You will administer medications, assess patients, document care, and supervise frontline staff under the nursing director's supervision.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, crisis management, and collaboration with physicians and the treatment team to support emotional and social functioning of patients aged 10 to 17.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• One year psychiatric / neuropsychiatric experience with adolescents/young adults preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and mental illness understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to children, adolescents and young adults.
• Administer medications as prescribed and evaluate responses.
• Supervise Mental Health Techs and LVN staff to maintain a therapeutic milieu.
• Ensure safety, crisis management, and accurate documentation.
