UofL Health is seeking a Mental Health Tech to join the team on the Night shift (7P–7A) in Louisville, KY. You will support psychiatric inpatients under RN supervision, maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, and assist with vital signs, phlebotomy, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities include transport and supervision during tests and discharge, documentation, and collaboration with staff to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year inpatient or emergency psychiatry experience preferred.
• Completion of Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT training preferred.
• Nursing students who completed Fundamentals of Nursing School preferred.
• Transport MHTs must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification by the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers required.
• Must obtain crisis intervention training as determined by the facility.

Responsabilités

• Monitors and maintains the therapeutic environment.
• Identifies, manages, and stabilizes crisis situations.
• Transport patients and accompany them during tests and discharge.
• Assist with physical exams, safety searches, transfers, and documentation of seclusion/restraint.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing and other disciplines.
