Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. is seeking a Mental Health Tech for Peace Hospital in Louisville, KY. The role supports psychiatric patients in crisis under RN supervision, helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment, and assists with daily living activities and treatments.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and crisis intervention training; inpatient or emergency psychiatry experience is preferred. Day shifts (7a–7p) are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of inpatient or emergency psychiatry experience preferred.
• CPR certification required for Healthcare Providers.
• Must obtain crisis intervention training as determined by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain a therapeutic environment and crisis management.
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges and daily living activities.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Provide nursing care support under RN supervision and collaborate with the care team.
