UofL Health in Louisville, KY seeks a Mental Health Tech (MHT) to assist in psychiatric care under RN supervision. You will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and support patient treatment per physician orders.

A High School diploma or GED and CPR for healthcare providers are required. The MHT will participate in vital signs, phlebotomy and crisis intervention, and collaborate with the care team on patient safety and comfort.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of inpatient or emergency psychiatry experience preferred.
• Completion of a recognized Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant or EMT Training Program preferred.
• Nursing students who have completed Fundamentals of Nursing preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and maintain the therapeutic environment for psychiatric patients.
• Assist with crisis identification, management and stabilization.
• Transport patients and assist with tests while supervising safety.
• Perform vital signs, phlebotomy and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Assist nursing staff and other disciplines in patient care.
• Document care and support following physician orders and unit policies.
• Support admission, discharge, and unit tasks per standards.
