Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks a School-based APC-FNP or PA to provide primary care at Tioga Junior High School. The clinician works under the School Based Health Centers Director, delivering routine adolescent and pediatric care within approved scope and center protocols.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Medical Director, assessing patients, maintaining records, and educating families on preventive care. Bilingual skills are preferred, and licensure and DEA are required.

Qualifications

• Current Licensure through the LA State Board of Nursing or licensed physician assistant by the LA Medical Board.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, English required, bilingual preferred.
• Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
• BLS obtained by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to adolescents and children within school-based health centers.
• Collaborate with other providers and the Medical Director to deliver care and protocols.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage health problems; order and interpret tests as needed.
• Maintain and transfer patient health records according to policy; document care and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about preventive care and treatment plans.
• Participate in program policies, quality improvement, and cross-functional activities.
