CHRISTUS Health in Natchitoches, LA is seeking a School Based Advanced Practice Clinician (FNP or PA) for PRN coverage. You will provide primary care to adolescents and children under supervision, following LA Nurse Practice Act and center policies.

Responsibilities include developing and reviewing service policies, collaborating with Medical Director, documenting records, and coordinating referrals. Requires current LA licensure/DEA and BLS; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure through the LA State Board of Nursing or licensed physician assistant by the LA Medical Board or the ability to obtain licensure prior to employment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; English required; bilingual preferred
  • Valid DEA license or the ability to obtain one prior to employment
  • BLS obtained by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care to adolescents and children within school-based health centers under supervision
  • Develop, execute, and review written policies governing services
  • Collaborate with Medical Director and health care team for patient management
  • Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate referrals as needed
  • Prescribe medications and provide health education to patients and families
  • Adhere to regulatory standards and center protocols
