Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician (Pediatric NP, Family NP, or Physician Assistant) to join the School Based Health Center at Shortlidge Academy Elementary School in Newark, DE. This 30-hour-per-week, 42-week position provides exams, immunizations, reproductive health, and education to adolescents.

The role collaborates with the school nurse, maintains medical records, and ensures timely care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in nursing or PA studies.
• Experience with adolescents and reproductive health preferred.
• Licensed or eligible for license in Delaware; prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventive and acute health care to adolescents.
• Maintains collaboration with Medical Director and refers as needed.
• Prescribes medications and treatments per credentialing.

Education

Master’s degree in Nursing (Pediatric NP or Family NP)

Master’s degree in PA studies

Adolescent health care

Reproductive health

Licensed or eligible for Delaware license

Prescriptive authority

Valid driver’s license
