Job summary

New Hope Treatment Centers in North Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescents in a high-acuity behavioral health program operated with DJJ. Under supervision of Lead RN, you assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to promote youth wellbeing.

You collaborate with PMHNP, therapists, case managers, residential staff and other team members to ensure trauma-informed, evidence-based care, administer meds, monitor responses, and support safe transitions.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current unrestricted North Carolina RN license.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Ability to pass background checks and clearances.
• Experience in behavioral health or juvenile settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive nursing assessments on admission and during stay.
• Develops and evaluates individualized nursing care plans with the team.
• Administers medications and treatments per orders and regulations.
• Monitors treatment response, side effects, and safety concerns.
• Responds to emergencies and implements suicide/self-harm precautions.
• Creates and maintains accurate nursing documentation in EHRs.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure trauma-informed care.
