Job summary

New Hope Treatment Centers in North Carolina seeks a licensed PMHNP to provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adolescents enrolled in the DJJ Mental Health Services Program. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support stabilization, rehabilitation, and improved behavioral health outcomes.

Qualifications

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with PMHNP specialization.
Current licensure as PMHNP in the state of practice.
Active and unrestricted APRN license.
Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
Ability to pass background checks and required screenings.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for DJJ program youth.
Diagnose disorders using DSM criteria and develop treatment plans.
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications per guidelines.
Coordinate care with therapists, nurses, and residential staff.
Educate youth, families, and staff about diagnoses and medications.
Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
