Qualifications

• CPI Training within 3 months is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days is required.
• Bachelor's degree in social science or related field is required.
• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health experience.

Responsabilités

• THERAPEUTIC ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY FOCUS: Supports treatment by education on reducing behavioral outbursts using preventive strategies and building rapport with patients.
• Ensures all therapeutic activities, groups, and daily schedules are followed.
• Directs staff toward interventions to ensure milieu safety.
• De-escalates patients using CPI model and provides support during interventions.
• Takes initiative to make decisions for safety and acts promptly.
• Roles modeling to reduce or avoid seclusion/restraints through verbal de-escalation and patient support.
• Participates in application and monitoring of seclusion/restraints when necessary and documents accordingly.
• Participates in patient and staff debriefing and helps develop coping strategies for stressful situations.
• Interfaces with behavioral health and security staff to maintain a safe environment; requests assistance as needed.
• Provides supportive care to patients and families when appropriate.
• Monitors video/audio equipment to ensure patient safety.
