Job summary

AspenTech is seeking an Associate Power System Engineer to contribute to the delivery of ADMS projects for electric utilities. You will design, build, configure, troubleshoot, and test deployments across the ADMS stack, with emphasis on DPF, FLISR, and VVC/VVO.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Architecture & Product Solution and Software Development, and you will train customers while supporting live systems. A hybrid work model is offered with 4 days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 3+ years work experience in a similar engineering role or an advanced degree.
• Programming and scripting experience (C/Python).
• Willingness to travel (25% average).
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Knowledge of SQL, XML, Mongo, GIS.
• Preferred: Electrical/Computer/CS background; Power Systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement control systems at electric utilities that improve efficiency while meeting contract requirements.
• Design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects.
• Installation and configuration of ADMS components such as DPF, FLISR, VVC/VVO.
• Support testing events with the customer.
• Collaborate with OSI development teams to troubleshoot and test product changes.
• Interface with GIS teams to load electrical network models into the DMS.
• Train customers and provide technical support on live systems.
