Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking an Associate Power System Engineer to contribute to the design, deployment and testing of our Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) for electric utilities. You will work across ADMS components, engage with customers, and support configuration, troubleshooting and deployment tasks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 3+ years in an engineering role or advanced degree with less experience.
• Programming experience in C and Python.
• Experience with SQL, XML, MongoDB, and GIS data.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of ADMS projects and deployment at electric utilities.
• Design, planning, and execution of ADMS tasks.
• Installation and configuration of ADMS components (DPF, FLISR, VVC/VVO).
• Support testing events with customers and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with OSI development teams to prioritize changes.
• Interface with GIS to load electrical network models into the DMS.
• Train customers on system operation and provide technical support.
