Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a forklift operator to load and unload totes from chemical fill stations, and to assist in batch making and quality checks on the plant floor. You will also operate tote fill stations, load/unload flatbed trucks, and perform general maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Applicants should be able to work outdoors and endure hot or cold conditions as weather changes, while meeting safety standards and 5S expectations on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
• 1 year of production experience required.
• 1 year forklift experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper handling of totes as they load and unload fill stations.
• Interact with drivers for delivery of raw materials and unloading/loading trucks.
• Assist Production Manager with collection of samples and back up Quality Manager with testing.
• Operate fill stations and add dry ingredients.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on processing equipment.
• Daily housekeeping and adherence to safety standards.
• Practice 5S throughout the plant.
