Overview

(*Brand New Medical Office Building*)

• Full Time: 40 Hours/Week
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30pm
• Location: Schaumburg (Will be training/working at our Lisle location until the new building opens in August)

Responsibilities

The Admixture Pharmacy Technician is responsible for executing all processes in the production of compounded sterile preparations while strictly adhering to USP standards and department SOPs. This includes compounding sterile medications, managing patient records, inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.

• Assist in preparation and compounding of hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products under supervision
• Maintain the pharmacy cleanroom suite to USP standards
• Utilize aseptic technique during tasks within the clean room
• Document IV admixture preparations and conduct sterility tests
• Prepare and package compounded products for delivery
• Ensure cleaning and garbing are performed per standards
• Maintain ISO classified environment through cleaning and disinfecting
• Manage inventory and perform administrative tasks
• Complete documentation such as labels, logs, and reports
• Monitor inventory levels and check for expired products
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience
• One year of compounding and/or aseptic processing experience
• Hazardous medication handling experience (preferred)
• Experience with EPIC, Nucleus, Pyxis systems (preferred)
• Illinois pharmacy technician licensure, current and in good standing
• Pharmacy technician certification
• Knowledge of USP standards

The compensation includes a base pay range of $17.65-26.45, with actual pay based on skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and internal factors. Additional incentives may apply.
