Admixture Pharmacy Technician - Schaumburg (*Brand New Medical Office Building*)

Position Highlights:

• Full Time: 40 Hours/Week
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30 pm
• Location: Schaumburg (training at Lisle until August)

Responsibilities

The Admixture Pharmacy Technician prepares sterile compounded medications, including chemotherapeutic agents, under supervision, adhering to USP <797>, <800>, and departmental SOPs. Responsibilities include managing patient records, inventory, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.

• Assist in preparing hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products under supervision.
• Maintain USP <797> and <800> standards in the cleanroom.
• Use aseptic techniques during compounding.
• Document preparations, monitor sterilization, and maintain quality records.
• Prepare and package compounded products for delivery.

• Ensure proper cleaning and garbing per standards.
• Maintain ISO environment through cleaning and disinfecting.
• Follow hand hygiene and garbing procedures for sterile compounding.

• Manage inventory and perform administrative tasks.
• Complete documentation, monitor stock levels, and check for expired products.

• Perform additional duties to meet departmental and patient needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience.
• One year of aseptic processing/compounding experience.
• Hazardous medication handling experience (preferred).
• Experience with EPIC, Nucleus, Pyxis systems (preferred).
• Illinois pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Pharmacy technician certification.
• Knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800>.

The salary range is $17.65-$26.45/hour, based on skills, experience, and other factors. Additional incentives may apply.
