Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College in Georgia is seeking a Specialist - Student Affairs to support the Admissions Department. You will process admissions applications, enter student data into the BANNER system, determine eligibility, and help applicants with information via email, phone, or text.

This full-time, benefited, non-exempt role reports to the Director of Admissions. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma with related experience; higher degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of work-related experience, or Microsoft Office Certificate and 1 year of work-related experience.
• Associate’s degree and 3 years of related work experience in postsecondary Admissions or Registrar Office environment preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related work experience in postsecondary Admissions or Registrar Office environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes student applications and related information for a technical college.
• Prepares student records for final review and admissions acceptance.
• Provides accurate admissions information and documents for students and staff in-person, email, phone, text messaging, etc.
• Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by attending professional development training, workshops, seminars and conferences.
• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work and provides high level customer service.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Gwinnett Technical College.
