Job summary

The State of Georgia, via Chattahoochee Technical College, is seeking a Student Affairs Specialist - Admissions Counselor to guide applicants through the admissions process and support onboarding for new students.

Responsibilities include counseling, transcript evaluation, program selection assistance, communications, and campus recruitment activities to attract and assist prospective students.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree and three (3) years of work experience in a related field.
• Preferred qualifications include prior higher education experience in admissions, records, or enrollment services.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with inquiries via email and phone; provides counseling and guidance.
• Counsels prospective students through the application process.
• Assists with onboarding of new students and first-year experience initiatives.
• Helps prospective students select programs of study.
• Sends mass communications according to the applicant communication plan.
• Interprets transcripts and makes acceptance decisions.
• Coordinates the application process for select programs of study.
• Conducts campus tours and information sessions for prospective students.
• Represents the college at recruitment visits and events.
