Job summary

Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY seeks an Assistant Director of Admissions to educate incoming freshmen, transfers, parents and counselors about the admissions process and manage all aspects of recruitment, counseling, academic advising and evaluation of prospective students and applicants.

This role requires travel to the Metro NY area for recruitment, extensive travel to build pipelines, and collaboration with the admission team to design effective marketing and outreach programs that expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• 3 years of experience in an admissions role preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Flexibility to work extended hours including evenings and weekends.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement marketing and recruitment strategies and plans.
• Travel to build pipelines and lead recruitment events.
• Counsel, advise and interview prospective first-year and transfer students.
• Evaluate prospective students’ materials for admission decisions.
• Engage in targeted telemarketing and outreach to prospective students.
• Lead on-campus events with the Director of First Year Admission.
• Plan and host on-campus programs for specific student demographics.
• Maintain and expand the internal recruitment database.
• Coordinate or assist with other admission-related events and programs.
