Job summary

Belmont University is seeking an Admissions and Social Media Assistant for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. The role supports coordinating content, events, and recruitment activities while learning the admissions process.

You will assist with social media posts, campus event coverage, and collaboration with the Admissions Coordinator to produce engaging materials for prospective students and families.

Qualifications

• Must possess a professional & positive demeanor, with good phone & social etiquette.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must be punctual, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must have a willingness to learn new skills.
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel & social channels including Instagram, Facebook & LinkedIn.
• Must have Federal Work Study to be considered.
• Must be available to work at least two to three days per week for a minimum of 2 hours each day.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Admissions Coordinator to create social media content that highlights student experiences, academic programs, and campus events.
• Attend admissions and campus events to capture photos and videos for social media.
• Assist with editing content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms (experience preferred but not required).
• Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for recruitment and engagement campaigns.
• Support admissions events and help welcome prospective students and families. (Preview Days and Be Belmont Day)
• Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing materials, filing, data entry, and other office projects as needed.
• Learn about the admissions process, recruitment strategies, and the academic programs within CLASS.
• Learn and occasionally lead college academic information sessions if class schedule allows
• Support Coordinator in various administrative tasks such as writing and mailing postcards to prospective students, printing and mailing letters, assembling admit gift packages, etc.
• Assist in preparation for large visit days including Preview Days, Future Bruin Fridays & Be Belmont Day
