Zusammenfassung

Genesee Lake School is seeking an Admissions & Respite Specialist to manage inquiries, assess needs, gather records, and coordinate admissions for residential and day school offerings. You will serve as the main contact for families, referral sources, funders, and stakeholders throughout inquiry, assessment, and admission.

You will also coordinate the Respite Program, track admissions, scheduling, documentation, and funding sources, while promoting services and ensuring quality and regulatory

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Human Services required.
• 2 years of previous work experience in a human services field or education required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel required.
• Previous experience working in databases preferred.
• Excellent critical thinking and assessment skills, problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, and strong customer service skills required.
• Familiarity with state regulatory requirements (e.g., DCF 52, DHS 83) and agency policies preferred.
• Must be organized, reliable, and able to work independently while coordinating with multiple team members.
• Must have some flexibility in schedule.

Aufgaben

• Responds to inquiries regarding residential, day school, and Respite services by phone, email, fax, and social media.
• Serves as primary contact and liaison for prospective students, families, referral sources, funders, and stakeholders.
• Gathers and assesses information to determine service placement needs, including IEPs and records.
• Enters referral information into client databases and conducts on-site or virtual visits.
• Attends Admissions Meetings, presents summaries, and makes admission recommendations.
• Monitors transfers, discharges, and wait lists; reviews needs with the team.
• Coordinates information requests and follows up with staff to obtain it.
• Schedules tours and provides information on residential, educational, vocational, and Respite offerings.
• Assesses funding viability and payment mechanisms prior to admission or service delivery.
• Coordinates GLS Respite Program logistics, including scheduling, documentation, and transportation when appropriate.
• Works with Residential Program staff to place clients and coordinate respite scheduling.
• Advises families on funding sources and community resources.
• Promotes Respite Program through outreach and marketing; maintains external relationships.
• Completes monthly Respite billing and monitors utilization and program data.
• Reviews systems and processes to improve efficiency, communication, and quality.
