The Stony Brook School is seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions & Recruitment to advance enrollment through proactive recruitment, family engagement, and marketing. This role supports families from inquiry to enrollment and represents SBS at visits, events, and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2–5 years of relevant professional experience preferred in admissions, education, student services, recruitment, marketing, or community engagement.
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and public-speaking skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly for recruitment, including local, domestic, and international travel.

Responsibilities

• Guides prospective families from inquiry through enrollment with responsive, personalized support.
• Conducts campus tours, applicant interviews, family meetings, and inquiries via phone, email, video, and in person.
• Represents SBS at school visits, admissions fairs, conferences, athletic showcases, and community events.
• Develops recruitment pipelines and builds relationships with schools, counselors, educational consultants, churches, and alumni.
