Job summary

Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) is seeking an Admissions Specialist to play an active role in admission and enrollment efforts, including student recruitment, application and scholarship support, and campus visit coordination.

The role focuses on meeting enrollment goals by representing WNCC at high schools, college fairs, and community events with significant travel and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required.
• Experience working in a college or university setting, particularly in student recruitment, admissions or student services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and counsel prospective students and families about programs, life, admissions and financial aid.
• Build and maintain relationships with high schools and community partners to promote WNCC.
• Represent WNCC at high school visits, college fairs and community events within recruitment territory.
• Coordinate and host on-campus and off-campus recruitment events.
• Maintain regular communication with prospective students through multiple channels.
• Record and update student information in the CRM and institutional databases.
• Follow up with prospective and admitted students within 24 business hours.
• Collaborate with faculty and student services to ensure access to information and resources.
• Participate in outreach campaigns and recruitment activities.
• Represent the Office of Admissions on committees and external organizations.
