Berea College seeks an Admissions Recruitment & Engagement Specialist to join the Student Recruitment & Engagement Team within the Office of Admissions. You will manage cohorts of first-year and transfer students, advising on college planning and guiding them through the admissions process.

The role emphasizes relationship-building with high school students, data-driven outreach, and collaboration with regional teams to maximize applications and yield.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience with high school students preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and follow up with assigned cohort of students to promote applications and yield.
• Access and update student records using the Slate CRM and analyze reports.
• Advise students on strengthening application files through electives and guidance.
• Engage with students via high‑impact outreach (mail, phone, email, texts).
• Coordinate with Regional Admissions Managers to boost activity and confirm details.
• Conduct on-campus information sessions and campus tours as needed.
• Support financial aid/cost conversations with admitted students.
• Attend recruitment events (on-campus, virtual, college fairs, high schools).
