Job summary

American Medical Administrators is seeking an Admission Coordinator to support nursing home census growth and deliver an exceptional experience for residents, families, and referral partners. Travel to referral sources and coordinate admissions from inquiry through move-in.

This role requires relationship-building, ability to review referrals’ payer sources, insurance verification, and collaboration with clinical and leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing home admissions or related healthcare role.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Willingness to travel to hospitals, physician offices, and referral partner locations.
• Experience running financials for referrals (payer review, insurance screening, benefit verification).
• Strong multitasking with tours, referral follow-up, admissions coordination, census-building.

Responsibilities

• Develop, grow, and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, physicians, and other partners.
• Travel regularly to referral sources and partner locations to strengthen relationships.
• Coordinate admissions process from initial inquiry through move-in.
• Conduct resident and family tours with warmth and professionalism.
• Review referrals with payer-source evaluation, insurance verification, and admission opportunities.
• Partner with clinical, business office, and leadership teams for referrals.
