Job summary

Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking an Admissions Nurse RN to join their team. The nurse interfaces with residents, families, nursing staff, social workers, and other departments to facilitate admissions and ensure a smooth transition of care.

The role includes reviewing referrals, handling insurance precertifications, completing admission documentation, and communicating resident needs across shifts. A compassionate, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to interface with residents, families and care staff effectively.
• Must be able to review referrals and coordinate admissions processes.
• Must demonstrate professional demeanor and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical referrals
• Insurance eligibility and precertifications
• Pre-Admission Evaluation submissions for long term care
• Pre-Admission Screening Resident Review submissions and management
• Complete required admissions forms including advance directives
• Obtain admission orders for medications, treatments, diet, etc
• Collect equipment needed by resident
• Communicate with interdisciplinary team regarding needs of admitted resident
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to learn new policies and procedures
• Attends in-services training
• Works where needed without complaint
