Job summary

Compass Intervention Center is seeking an Admissions Assessor to coordinate referrals from mobile crisis agencies and hospitals, and manage the admission process. The role combines telephonic and in-person assessments, ensuring appropriate level of care and seamless communication with families, clients, and staff.

Ideal candidates will possess a Master’s in Social Work or be a licensed RN, with prior intake and crisis intervention experience in psychiatric settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work or RN required.
• Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population.
• Adequate knowledge of levels and focus of care for psychiatric, emotional, or behavioral problems.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate referrals between referring mobile crisis agencies, hospitals and other referral sources for call center operations.
• Oversee admission, intake and referral activities; determine appropriate level of care and maintain communications with sources, families, clients and staff.
• Document calls and admissions-related paperwork thoroughly and accurately.
