The position requires a bachelor’s degree or an unencumbered nursing license, a valid driver’s license, and at least three years of census development experience in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or an unencumbered nursing license in the state is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in the state.
• Minimum of three years of census development and occupancy management experience in a nursing home or related health care facility.
• Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, and implements an external sales strategy to reach census goals while complying with laws and regulations.
• Builds and maintains relationships with referral sources (hospitals, physicians, senior centers, home health agencies, hospices).
• Communicates the facility’s services clearly to referrals and partners.
• Submits monthly calendars and reports of events, visits, and activities to supervisor.
• Converts referrals to admissions through an effective sales strategy.
• Schedules events and activities with referral partners and reports results to the Administrator.
• Identifies opportunities for new partnerships and communicates strategy weekly and monthly.
