Job summary

Cumberland Heights is seeking an Admissions Specialist to guide patients and families through the admissions process and discuss treatment options and costs. The role requires coordinating with multiple teams, documenting thoroughly, and maintaining a supportive environment. CPR/First Aid may be performed as needed.

Candidates should have a related degree and healthcare experience, with LADAC pursued if possible; strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• CPRS or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
• Active pursuit of LADAC preferred.
• Minimum of one year in behavioral healthcare with addictions experience or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word.
• Ability to multi-task while speaking on the phone.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate and guide colleagues with courtesy.

Responsibilities

• Screen inquiry calls and conduct assessments to determine admission eligibility.
• Explain treatment options and probable financial responsibility to clients.
• Meet scheduled appointments promptly and professionally.
• Document admissions processes and maintain confidentiality.
• Coordinate with admissions, benefits, clinical, medical, and UR staff.
• Provide CPR and First Aid as needed.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe environment throughout care.
• Assist with quality improvements and adapt to changes.
