Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Quad Cities is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage referral intake, verify benefits and drive smooth admissions for patients in a critical illness recovery hospital. You will collaborate with the Business Development Team and clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient journey.

The role requires prior hospital or insurance experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Prior hospital/medical insurance environment experience is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead conversion call with Business Development team every morning.
• Verify Medicare benefits and secondary insurance plans for referred patients.
• Enter referral, admission, denial and conversion data in on-line systems.
• Coordinate admissions to ensure equipment, medications and needs are prepared in patient rooms.
• Guide patients through admission process and provide tour of facility.
