Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical & Baylor Scott & White Health, seeks an Admissions Coordinator to manage referral intake and admissions for inpatients. You will work with the Business Development Team to keep the department moving smoothly and ensure accurate data entry and patient processing.

You will handle pre-certification processes, verify insurance, and communicate admissions details to physicians, patients, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience in admissions or pre-admissions.
• Experience with insurance verification and pre-cert/authorization processes preferred.
• Familiarity with HMS/MedHost and transitions of care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage referral intake and admissions for all patients.
• Enter patient data and benefits details in HMS/MedHost.
• Coordinate with Director of Business Development and hospital staff for timely admissions.
• Provide hospital tours and superior customer service to internal and external customers.
• Ensure accurate daily census and admissions documentation.
