Job summary

Cascades at Saint Anne in Seattle is seeking a full-time Admissions Coordinator to welcome prospective residents, coordinate referrals, and guide admissions with compassion and accuracy. This role involves front-line customer service, facility tours, and collaboration with care teams to ensure smooth transitions.

You will document admissions in the EMR, maintain communications between departments, and support residents through the enrollment process.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clerical experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
• Strong communication, customer service skills, and empathy
• Proficient with computers, office systems, and related software
• Working knowledge of health insurance processes and systems
• Self-motivated with a willingness to assist across tasks as needed
• Ability to read, write, and understand English, including medical billing terminology
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service, including courteous phone coverage and daily quality assurance rounds
• Conduct facility tours for prospective residents, families, and responsible parties
• Review and respond to all referrals across multiple referral sources within 15 minutes of receipt
• Coordinate resident admissions with internal departments and external healthcare partners
• Build and maintain referral relationships with discharge planners, case managers, and physicians
• Complete admission paperwork and support residents in care planning and decision-making preferences
• Assist with resident orientation in accordance with facility procedures
• Enter and maintain accurate information in EMR and other systems
• Support communication between departments to ensure smooth admissions and transitions
• Complete additional duties as assigned
