Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, psychology, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility admissions is essential.
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and HMO processes and reimbursement procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, especially PointClickCare, a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and a sharp eye for detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and stay composed under pressure.
• A genuine interest in caring for the elderly and a collaborative, professional attitude.
• Reliable attendance and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prospective residents against facility criteria, considering medical, financial, and social needs.
• Gather and verify admission documentation — medical records, insurance information, financial details, and personal preferences.
• Coordinate with clinical and support departments to prepare for each new resident's arrival.
• Complete and manage all admissions paperwork, including consents and agreements.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date resident records.
• Represent the facility to prospective residents and families through tours and marketing materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with referral sources such as hospitals and community organizations.
• Assist with insurance verification, pre-certification, and payment options.
• Uphold every resident's dignity, rights, and respect throughout the admissions process and beyond.
