WHAT YOU’LL DO (REMOTE)

  • Conduct clinically informed pre-admission screenings (via phone or video) to determine program eligibility and appropriateness.
  • Collaborate with nursing and medical staff (via secure messaging or video) to confirm level of care and client suitability.
  • Document screenings and admissions data in the EMR, CRM, and other electronic systems.
  • Handle phone and digital inquiries and provide clear, empathetic information about the treatment program.
  • Guide clients and families through the remote admissions process, including review of documents, consents, and expectations.
  • Verify insurance coverage, identify guarantors, and assist with payment arrangements.
  • Maintain communication with referral sources and document interactions.
  • Coordinate with Business Development staff to manage referrals and streamline remote admissions.
  • Provide referrals for individuals who do not meet program criteria.
  • Coordinate timely retrieval of medical/psychiatric records as needed.
  • Represent the program professionally via phone, video, and electronic communication with referral sources, clients, and community partners.
  • Liaise remotely with clinical/medical/housing teams and families to coordinate admissions and travel/transportation to the facility.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to admissions.
  • Track and compile relevant admissions data and statistics.
  • Maintain compliance with DCF, State, Federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Participate in on-call phone rotation (evenings/weekends), if applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in a remote capacity.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree required — nursing, social work, behavioral health, or other clinical/medical field.
  • Clinical license preferred (LPN, RN, MSW, or similar).
  • 2+ years experience in behavioral health, detox, or medical setting strongly preferred.
  • Admissions, utilization review, or triage experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of substance use disorders and the recovery process required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
  • Peer Recovery Specialist Certification a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment — reliable internet connection, strong digital communication skills, excellent time management and organization.

WORK CONDITIONS & TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Setting: Fully remote / home office.
  • Equipment: Company-provided laptop; reliable high-speed internet required.
  • Body Positioning: Frequent sitting; use of computer, phone, video conferencing.
  • Communication: Regular interaction via email, phone, video, and electronic health record systems.
  • Hours: Core business hours with flexibility; participation in on-call rotation as assigned.
