Job summary

Green Valley Rehabilitation Center in Eugene, OR seeks an admissions coordinator specializing in customer service and marketing to support residents and families. Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• 3–5 years of customer service experience in healthcare setting and familiarity with medical terms.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with nursing to prepare rooms for new admits, returning residents, and changes.
• Coordinate with maintenance for room repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean.
• Ensure admissions process is seamless and customer-friendly, with complete documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Review EPIC, AIDA, and referrals; ensure accurate data entry in EMR.
• Collaborate with admissions director, director of nurses, and administrator to maintain census.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
• Some after hours, on call, and/or weekends may be required.
• 24/7 health care facility operations with rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather considerations.

Pay is $20.00/HR - $25.00/HR (DOE)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with the nursing team to ensure rooms are ready for new admits, returning residents, and room changes.
• Coordinates with maintenance to ensure any repairs needed in the room are done.
• Coordinates with housekeeping to ensure that rooms are clean.
• Ensures that the admissions process enhances the customer experience, is seamless, and that all necessary customer service, documentation, and regulatory functions are completed in a pleasant, timely, and customer-friendly manner.
• Reviews EPIC, AIDA, and faxed referrals from clinics and hospitals. Ensures accurate data entry in EMR.
• Works closely with admissions director, director of nurses, and administrator to ensure census is maintained.
• Must adhere to Code of Conduct and Business Ethics policy, including documentation and reporting responsibilities.
• Participates in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
• Some after hours, on call, and/or weekends may be required on occasion.
• This is a position in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holidays and working during inclement weather may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Degree in health care management or marketing is desirable.
• Exposure to and understanding of the health delivery system, medical vocabulary, and background or interest in sales is desirable.
• Experience as a CNA or health care worker strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of customer service experience in a similar role in a health care setting.
• Experience and/or training in medical terms, EPIC, and basic computer programs preferred.Understands and applies training from in-service education and has the ability to instruct personnel during training education and staff meetings.
• Familiar with insurance verification and requesting insurance authorization preferred.
