Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to guide individuals and families through the admissions process for behavioral health services. You’ll conduct pre-screenings, coordinate assessments, verify insurance, and ensure all paperwork is accurate and compliant.

This role collaborates with clinical, medical, and marketing teams to support smooth client transitions. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in admissions or related fields, strong communication, and proficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in admissions, intake, case management, customer service, or behavioral health settings.
• Proficiency with EHR systems, and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Compassionate, professional, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
• CADC or similar certification is a plus
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact for prospective clients, families, and referral partners
• Conduct pre-admission screenings and determine appropriate level of care (detox, residential, PHP, IOP, OP)
• Schedule evaluations, intakes, and admissions while coordinating with clinical and medical staff
• Provide program information and support throughout the admissions process
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation, consent forms, and financial agreements
• Communicate financial responsibilities
• Maintain follow-up communication with clients and referral sources
• Support census-building efforts and collaborate with marketing and outreach teams
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development

OVERALL SCOPE OF WORK

We’re seeking a compassionate and organized Admission Coordinator to be the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking behavioral health or substance use treatment. In this role, you’ll guide clients through the admissions process, complete pre‑screenings, coordinate assessments, verify insurance, and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant. You’ll work closely with clinical, medical, and marketing teams to support smooth client transitions and maintain strong referral relationships.

SCHEDULE

Full Time: May require weekends

COMPENSATION

Starting at $50,000 Annual Salary but based on experience, plus competitive benefits: Medical, dental, vision. Paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and personal days. Free supervision towards licensure or certification.
