• Proficient English communication and writing skills; familiarity with clinical and medical jargon.
• Proven computer skills for data entry, narrative, and data extrapolation across multiple programs.

Job Description

The Admissions Coordinator manages the full admissions process for clients, including insurance verification, medical, clinical, and intake coordination, data collection, and financial planning. The role reports to the Admissions Director.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for potential clients and referrals, ensuring prompt, skilled communication.
• Oversee accuracy of verification of benefits for potential clients.
• Log all inquiries in the agency EMR system, including person, date, referral source, and inquiry nature.
• Maintain open communication lines with external organizations and provide timely, clear information.

Skills & Specifications

• Computer proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines, triaging admissions calls.
• Effective project management skills.
• Sound understanding of marketing principles and ability to apply technology to improve admission placements.
• Has a diverse referral network to refer clients to appropriate levels of care when not suitable for admission here.
• Communicates tactfully in verbal and written form with diverse, crisis‑situated clients.
• Collaborative work with clinical and medical staff to ensure appropriate treatment placement.
