Job summary

The New School is seeking an Admissions Call Center Representative to field inquiries from prospective students, parents, and counselors. You will triage communications, guide applicants through instructions, event registrations, deadlines, and campus updates while delivering exceptional customer service.

This student worker role partners with staff and students throughout the admission process. You will answer Level 1 inquiries, be proactive, and collaborate remotely with occasional on-site

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a New School Degree Student.
• Minimum one-year office experience.
• Understanding of The New School programs and admission procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 6-10 hours per week.
• This position requires reliable access to a computer/laptop and internet.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and triaging communication to appropriate staff/departments
• Assist callers in navigating The New School website, application processes, and event registration
• Manage inquiries with enthusiasm for The New School, a positive attitude, flexibility, and excellent customer service
• Effectively and strategically utilize New School remote communication technologies
