The Camp Recovery Center in California is seeking a part-time Admissions/Registration staff member to greet new patients, review admissions, and manage clerical duties related to the intake process. Experience in healthcare billing is preferred.

Located in Northern California, this role supports a structured rehab program and coordinates with behavioral/medical health personnel to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Greet and search new patients and those transporting patients upon arrival.
• Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures.
• Handle clerical duties: paperwork, data entry, insurance overclaims, and phones.
• Complete admission paperwork and explain forms to patients before signing; notify clinical lead of arrival.
• Ensure timely distribution of paperwork to notify staff of arrivals/transfers.
• Coordinate patient information reception and scheduling with health personnel.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for the admission and registration of incoming patients.

The Camp Recovery Center is licensed by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs, and certified by the Commission of Rehab Facilities (CARF). We maintain a strong reputation as a premier provider of specialized addiction treatment services.

At The Camp, our caring and educated staff includes trained Chemical Dependency Counselors that are individually certified or licensed, and help each one of our clients through the many different steps of the treatment process, including:

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Greet andsearchnew patients and those transporting patients upon arrival.
• Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria,policiesand procedures.
• Responsible for clerical duties such as managing paperwork, handling data entry, engaging with insurance companies overclaimsand answering phones.
• Complete paperwork necessary to admit patient to the assigned program and explain forms prior to patient signing, notify clinical lead ofpatient’sarrival and escort the patient and documentation toappropriate locationwithin the facility.
• Efficient andaccuratecompletion of the admission process of patients and thetimelydistribution of the paperwork necessary to notify staff of the arrival/transfer of each patient.
• Ensure all required patient information isreceived,processed and necessary appointments are made with the proper behavioral or medical health personnel.
• Demonstrate a positive,empatheticand professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High-school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’sdegree ina socialservices fieldpreferred.
• One or more years’ experience in healthcare preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certificationrequired(training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may berequiredbased on state or facility.
