Primary Duties and Responsibilities

If you're looking to grow your leadership, communication, and professional skills while supporting prospective students, the Admissions Assistant position with an emphasis in the College of Nursing may be a great fit for you!

The Admissions Assistant serves as a student representative for the Admissions Office (with an emphasis in the College of Nursing) and works closely with the Associate Director of Admissions and Admissions Staff to support recruitment efforts, create engaging social media content, assist with admissions events, and complete administrative projects. This role provides valuable experience in student engagement, recruitment, marketing, and higher education admissions.

The Admissions Assistant serves as a student ambassador for the College of Nursing, supporting recruitment efforts by helping prospective students and families learn about Belmont's programs and student experience (with a focus on Nursing but helping all colleges). This position exists to enhance engagement, strengthen outreach initiatives, and support the college's enrollment goals through student representation and admissions support.

  • Engage with Prospective Students and Families - Represent Belmont University by sharing student experiences and helping prospective students and families learn more about academic programs, campus life, and the admissions process during events and campus visits.
  • Create and Share Social Media Content to Support Recruitment Efforts - Assist with creating, capturing, and sharing content that highlights student life, academic programs, campus events, and the Belmont experience to help prospective students connect with the university.
  • Support Admissions and Recruitment Events - Assist with the preparation and execution of campus visit programs and recruitment events, helping to create a welcoming and positive experience for prospective students and their guests.
  • Assist with Student Outreach and Admissions Communications - Support recruitment efforts by helping prepare and distribute communications and materials for prospective and admitted students.
  • Provide General Administrative Support for Admissions Activities - Complete administrative projects such as organizing materials, data entry, assembling recruitment packets, and other office tasks that support recruitment and admissions initiatives.

Required Education

Must be enrolled as a Federal Work Study student at Belmont University.

Required Experience

Previous experience in customer service, student leadership, campus involvement, event support, social media content creation, or administrative work is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and enthusiasm for sharing the Belmont experience with prospective students and families.

The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
