Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is seeking a Full-Time Admissions Advisor for our Van Nuys, CA Campus. The Admissions Advisor will screen and guide prospective students through the admissions process, conduct interviews, and coordinate evaluations of program fit.

Responsibilities include reviewing inquiries, scheduling tours, educating candidates on program demands, updating applicant data, and supporting students through the first weeks of the program.

The AA is ultimately the primary screen for student acceptance through using a combination of tools including interviewing, initial competency test scores, review of experience, and review of prior academic requirements. The AA will ultimately require the knowledge of each program at their campus and be prepared to offer counsel to prospective students on both the viability of the program for the student and ensuring the students stated goals are in alignment with the career opportunities presented by the program the student is interested in.
