Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is seeking a Full-Time Admissions Advisor for our Van Nuys, CA Campus. The Admissions Advisor will screen and guide prospective students through the admissions process, conduct interviews, and coordinate evaluations of program fit.

Responsibilities include reviewing inquiries, scheduling tours, educating candidates on program demands, updating applicant data, and supporting students through the first weeks of the program.

Qualifications

• Experience working within an academic admissions environment.
• Experience with recruitment, interviewing and selection.
• Strong interpersonal and counseling abilities.
• Excellent time management and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• Review and call all web inquiries and call-ins.
• Set appointments and campus tours with prospective students.
• Interview candidates to understand motivation and fit.
• Educate candidates on program nature, requirements and timelines.
• Complete application forms with students and gather documents.
• Update pipeline status as candidates move to enrollment stages.
• Prepare student enrollment reports for weekly campus meetings.
• Attend weekly staff meetings as directed.
• Participate in community events and career days.
• Assist in graduation ceremonies and related procedures.
