Job summary

Administrator in Training (AIT)

Salary Range: $85k-$90k annual.

The primary purpose of an Administrator in Training (AIT) is to develop the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and direct the day‑to‑day functions of a facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long‑term care facilities. The length of the program is dependent upon state regulations, past work experience and Administrator Preceptor evaluation(s).

Required Qualifications (Must haves)

• 1‑3 years’ experience in long‑term care
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Ability to thrive in a complex environment
• Ability to relate to and work with physically and/or mentally ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people professionally and respectfully
• Ability to understand and follow regulations
• Ability to adapt and handle pressure
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long‑term care

Nice to Have

• Experience in long‑term care or related field with supervisory background
• Bachelor’s degree specifically in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration (or related field)
