Boston University is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Academic Affairs Office. The role handles student absence requests, exam scheduling, supply ordering via Guided Buying, and data collation for special projects, in coordination with Assistant Deans and Directors.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, 1+ year of experience, strong written and verbal skills, and proficiency in Word and Excel. Experience in academia is a plus.
The Administrative Assistant is the main point of contact for the Academic Affairs Office and is responsible for resolving or referring student issues to the appropriate person or department. The Administrative Assistant has the general responsibility of supporting the day-to-day operations of the Academic Affairs Department by triaging and completing various administrative tasks, which include but is not limited to managing student absence requests, managing exam schedules. ordering supplies using Guided Buying, and collating data for any special projects assigned by the Assistant Dean, Assistant Directors, and Academic Affairs Manager. This position has continual integration with Academic Affairs staff, GSDM faculty, students, and other department administrators and staff.
