Qualifications

  • High School diploma (HSD) or GED required.

Join to apply for the Administrative Support Specialist role at Care Plus NJ.

Location: Rotating between our 5 locations: Paramus, Fairlawn, Bloomfield, Rochelle Park 1st and 5th. Schedules rotate on a quarterly basis.

On-site M-F

  • 1st Shift: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • 2nd Shift: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • 3rd Shift: 1:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Note: Shift times may vary based on location.

Job Summary

As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will work under the office manager and with a team to provide administrative and clerical support to management, departments, staff, and clients. This entry-level role involves working face-to-face with clients and linking them to services to support their journey. You will also gain operational knowledge of a Non-profit and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic across various departments, prescribers, and providers.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as greeter for walk-ins and scheduled appointments (face-to-face or telehealth)
  • Verify, review, and update demographic and insurance information in the electronic health record
  • Understand insurance benefits and coverage; familiarity with Patient Verification Systems like Evolv NX, MyAbility, Navinet, NJMMIS is a plus
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
  • Upload benefits information into the Electronic Health Record
  • Collect payments at the time of service or past balances, virtually or in person
  • Answer calls, provide routine information, and assist clients professionally
  • Schedule appointments and conduct confirmations/reminders
  • Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
Qualifications
  • High School diploma (HSD) or GED
  • 6 months to 2 years of receptionist experience in medical or mental health fields
  • Valid driver’s license and insurability by the agency’s auto insurance
