Job summary

Arizona State University in Tempe is seeking an Outreach Analyst 2 Non-Exempt (part-time) in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities to provide administrative support and assist with investigations into student conduct. Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Justice Studies, Social Work, Law Enforcement or related field.
  • Experience with student housing and handling behavioral issues in residential settings.
  • Experience with clubs and organizations, including fraternities/sororities and athletics.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a large workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cultural competence with student populations.
  • Knowledge of social media and public record requests.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft and Maxient or similar systems.
  • Knowledge of investigative techniques, student development, and holistic approaches to conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of Title IX, VAWA, FERPA, Clery and related laws.
  • Experience conducting low- to mid-level investigations including sexual misconduct.
  • Training through ATIXA, ASCA or comparable organizations.
  • Training in FETI or trauma-informed training.

Responsibilities

  • Create and distribute email, correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports.
  • Prepare and compose confidential and sensitive correspondence.
  • Assist with front office administrative support, including receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors.
  • Communicate difficult and sensitive information in a trauma-informed manner.
  • Assist investigators in monitoring the progress of ongoing cases to provide students the opportunity to consider the way in which their conduct may define and impact their college experience, personally and in relation to others.
  • Ensure students understand their rights and responsibilities and apply appropriate administrative actions and/or educational interventions.
  • Assist investigators in maintaining detailed letters and records, including the creation of comprehensive written investigative reports.
  • Manage highly sensitive and/or confidential information.
  • Perform other duties or projects, as assigned.

Job Description

Salary: $24.89 per hour

The part-time position of Administrative Support - Coordinator in the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (SRR) provides thoughtful expertise to support student persistence and success. This position provides administrative support for front office operations and assists in the implementation of and communications about investigative processes and procedures. The position may manage a caseload of low-level student conduct concerns as needed, including assisting with the Residential Review Board and Greek Review Board. The position engages with students, peers, and other members of the ASU community, with the goal of maintaining an environment that encourages reasoned discourse, intellectual honesty, openness to constructive change, and respect for the rights of all. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Student Rights and Responsibilities on the Tempe campus.

Essential Duties
  • Create and distribute email, correspondence, memos, letters, faxes, and forms.
