This position is located in Montgomery, Alabama
The College of Pharmacy’s Clinical Health ServicesDepartment is excited to recruit candidates for anAdministrative Support Associate, who will provide frontdesk reception and general administrative and clerical support atthe State Employee Wellness Clinic in Montgomery, AL. This positionacts as the first point of contact for our patients and facilitatespatient scheduling, record management, filing of health records,answering phones, organizing mail, purchasing/ordering supplies,and a broad variety of office and patient support duties andtasks
Responsibilities
- Performs multiple duties which are a mix of administrative andclerical in nature, which may include but are not limited to datagathering, data management, correspondence, filing, calendarmanagement, event scheduling, mail distribution, answering phones,organizing mail, purchasing/ordering supplies, and websitemaintenance.
- Provides budget preparation, tracking, monitoring and auditing,payroll processing, travel/expense voucher processing and otheraccounting and financial tasks.
- Advises staff, students, administrators, and clients ofstandard policies or procedures.
- Acts as a point of contact to other departments, students,faculty, customers, and outside agencies/vendors on behalf ofmanager, director, or department head.
- Manipulates and prepares data and other information, databases,or reports using a computer.
- May perform some administrative duties such as budgetcoordination, human resources administration (beyond payrollentry), collection and disbursement of cash, checks, and othernegotiable items, preparation of reports, documents, andpresentations, or coordination of complex projects or events.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of experience in clerical and administrative supportservices.
Substitution allowed for Experience
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the requiredexperience, they may normally apply additional appropriateeducation toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1)year relevant education per year of required experience.
