US Army Corps of Engineers in Little Rock, AR is seeking an Administrative Clerk to manage division property records and coordinate training activities for assigned employees. The role also includes preparing travel requests in CEFMS and handling GPC purchases to support day-to-day operations.
The successful candidate will provide clerical support to Branch and Section Chiefs and help ensure the efficiency of the division’s workflow with strong typing and organizational skills.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. GS-06: Specialized experience which includes 1) preparing documents such as correspondence and reports using automated reporting system ; AND 2) creating travel orders to include coordinating transportation arrangements for office staff. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
GS-07: Specialized experience is defined as: performing 2 out of the 3 following duties: performing 2 out of 3 of the following duties: 1) Preparing and tracking purchase request to maintain an audit trail of fund OR 2) administering purchases of supplies, equipment, and services using a credit card OR 3) performing administrative support duties such as personnel administration and property record management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
In addition to meeting experience requirements, applicants for these positions must show possession of the following skills: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
