Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team to provide effective patient care.
• Working knowledge of Epic CareConnect systems to complete online transactions including appointment scheduling and encounter registration.
• Team building skills including prior supervisory experience.
• Skill in monitoring complex clinician appointment schedules.
• Ability to elicit salient clinical information from patients and refer professionals, and make appropriate assignments.
• Skill in listening and communicating with patients and visitors from diverse backgrounds.
• Clear and distinct spoken communication, including telephone, to share information and obtain information.
• Ability to triage patient issues to achieve resolution.
• Ability to interact diplomatically with patients and the public in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to manage interruptions and changing priorities.
• Typing ability to prepare forms and correspondence with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain accurate patient appointments and schedules in an online database.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of medical insurance plans and coverage.
• Spanish speaking skills - Preferred
• Ability to maintain Charge Worklist in CareConnect - REQUIRED
• Ability to maintain Charge Document Reconciliation Process - REQUIRED

• Assisting in coordinating patient flow through the clinic from registration to discharge.
